MADIKERI

This small area which is geographically part of Karnataka has many peculiarities. During the Brithish Raj this was a spearate state with C status. Kodavas form the major ethnic group of people who are different from their dravidian Kannadiga and Kerala counterparts in appearance, rituals, food, and language.

Kodavas stand tall and most of them has long necks and chiselled nose which are striking Aryan features. And men are chivalrous warriors. They are a tribal but militant group yet peace-loving people.
